it cracks me up every time I see that post going around of this person being like “I bought a queer comic anthology and there were queer stories???? poc representation???? written by queer poc people????? amazing!!” and I’m like yEAH THERES SO MUCH OF THAT SHIT YOU GUYS
People on tumblr gotta stop trying to find this queer representation in mainstream media, in your children’s cartoon’s and anime and shit that was never going to have queer rep anyway. Like there’s no excuse there is so much queer indie media right now, so many queer comic anthologies and comic creators, queer poc creators YOU JUST GOTTA GET OFF OF NETFLIX
This shit is on amazon, and you can google this stuff (like just google “queer indie comics” or similar there’s so much) . Stop expecting an 80s anime reboot for children on Netflix to have queer representation.

Additionally there is TONS of literature, there are always big lists of queer YA novels floating around and stuff
Try googling “lambda literary” and see what queer books have gotten awards, start there, find where the creators are at and follow them
Dont leave it up to mainstream media to cater to you, they wont and they suck, go small press, go indie and actually LOOK for what you want
